How is Facial Fat Transfer Performed?

The first step is called harvesting. This involves removal of fat from different areas of the body with excess fat via a very small incision(usually form abdomen or thigh area). This is usually an outpatient procedure performed in our office surgical suite. The fat is then centrifuged for uniform augmentation. And later the purified fat is carefully injected in to the face to fill the grooves, increase fullness and restore youthful and attractive contours. The procedure is typically performed with local anesthesia and or light sedation. At Legacy Eyelids & Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Kalyam can also combine fat transfer with blepharoplasty surgery to achieve most natural, longlasting results of the eyelids.Dr. Kalyam will educate you more on your options during your consultation and work on a facial fat transfer treatment plan that is right for you
